The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a formal program of catechetical instruction, prayer and spirituality, and liturgies whereby adults-calls catechumens-are formally admitted into the Church and receive the Sacraments of Initiation-Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist.
